Overview

NeoPads is a healthcare clinic that already has a desktop application called Genie. They approached us at JS Panther to build an immersive web application that would empower users to access it from anywhere, anytime. There were several stakeholders involved, including doctors, medical practitioners, patients, and the account holder. The web app was meant to streamline day-to-day tasks and activities.

This means creating bespoke features for different users. Patients and account holders can use the web app to schedule appointments with doctors and assess medical records. On the other hand, doctors and medical practitioners can use the web application to update patients’ medical records.

What were the Challenges?

We used FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) application programming interface (API), which comes under HL7 International, for exchanging electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare information between different systems.

How Did We Operate?

We tailored bespoke features for the healthcare application to ensure smooth functionality for the users. Different features were built to address the specific needs of the patients and the doctors. We built easy-to-use interfaces that allow users to easily perform desired tasks.

Both the patient and the account holders can use the web app to book appointments with the desired doctor. They can also use the app to view their medical records and assess information about the ongoing consultation with the doctors.

Similarly, doctors can use the web app to update medical records and prescriptions for patients. The prescription typically can be filled with medication name, dosage, frequency, and route of administration.

The web app development process involved the use of Next.js for the front end. We used Nest.js and Node.js for the backend development of the application.

Responsive view

Results

We ensured that the web app functions similarly to their running desktop application, as demanded by the client. The final solution was screen-responsive and quickly responded to user inputs, which helped to ensure captivating user experiences on all platforms.
